A beginning depends on the first handshake.
A handshake must be firm,conveying warmth accompanied by direct eye contact.
it establishes that moment...two strangers who are ready to be friends..or more.
What does etiquette say about this?

A proper handshake: is firm, but not bone-crushing ..lasts about 3 seconds
...the lady's hand may be "pumped" once or twice from the elbow.. is released
after the shake, even if the introduction continues and , the most important being
that it always includes good eye contact with the other person..
So what is good eye contact..one may ask...we shall come to that..soon!
